Confusion and stress has led to a lot of my anxiety and forgetfulness in preparing for Japan. I realized not log after the plane took off that I forgot to write down the address of the place I’m staying. I also had forgotten that I screwed up my arrival. I must’ve been remembering the arrival time from my original itinerary. I will be arriving at 7:30pm so I need to call Sakura House to let them know I’ll be late checking in as they close at 8 and I won’t be able to get there. Lack of Internet is a bitch. But this means I’ll need to figure out a place to stay tonight. Shouldn’t be a big issue but the large suitcase may be a pain.
I thought about doing some reading on the flight but I’m pretty tired. I figure the earlier stress and lack of eating must’ve affected me. But I’m listening to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on my iPhone. It’s hard for me to read and listen at the same time.
It is really cold in the plane. I am glad that I had left a pair of socks from earlier today in my pocket. Even my sweatshirt feels not enough. Though at the same time I enjoy it. It’s a feeling of nostalgia. I look forward to moving back to the mainland in the future. Winter is nice. I miss snowbording a lot.
Dear god I got through customs and I’m on the way to the hotel. I want to sleep. Will go sign the papers for apt tomorrow and then move in and crash.
On the train to Ueno now. Forget the NEX. Keisei line gets me there for 1200yen cheaper. It’s still kind of confusing to be back. I kind of feel out of sorts. I feel weird, I’m nervous but I shouldn’t be. I think once I’m settled I’ll feel better.
I hope I can get a phone. If I can’t though I can have a friend get me a prepaid.

Finally made it to the hotel. I am so tired but I’m going to get online for a bit to do email, twit, etc. I feel so hot right now but it’s not due to weather (it’s raining out). It’s cause I hauled some 160kg of luggage around. Man I am beat. But now that I’m here I have relaxed quite a bit.
I tried to use my Suica card here but it seems Tokyo Metro uses a different card. I will be sure to get that for the collection.
I’ve decided for the time being I will keep my iPhone in airplane mode, best to avoid roaming charges.
